The Dæmons

Oh dear, the Master has summoned the last Dæmon, Azal, and now all Mankind is facing annihilation…

My alternative cover for The Dæmons is now available to download from Velvet Jacket. For this cover’s background notes, I’ve looked at some of the Photoshop techniques I used. I hope it’ll be of interest to other cover artists and non-Photoshoppers alike.

Summoning Azal…

The quiet village of Devil’s End is about to get some diabolical visitors…

The Android Invasion

After a bit of a nightmare — I was halfway through the illustration when my Mac decided to throw a wobbly and corrupted all the image files I’d been working on, so I had to start the whole thing from scratch; very frustrating — here’s my cover for The Android Invasion.

You can get to Velvet Jacket to download it by clicking here, and as usual I’ve annotated my thinking behind the composition here.

I think the next cover might be a little dæmonic…

Carnival of Monsters – revisited

Almost forgot to mention it here (if anyone’s reading), but my revised cover for Carnival of Monsters went up the other day. Bit of a more dramatic reworking than previous Revisitations titles. You can read about the thinking behind the original and new versions here. As usual, visit Velvet Jacket to download the printable version.
